Hi! My name is Ashleigh, and I'm the creator of Mod Baby Showers!
After planning baby showers for friends and family, I became hooked on finding the best modern baby shower ideas including baby shower decor, games, activities, food, favors, and supplies.
Having a baby was the biggest life-changing moment of my life. I was able to experience pregnancy and the celebration of life with some of my closest friends. Five of us were pregnant within weeks of each other. We all had baby boys!
During that time, I helped plan and attended dozens of baby showers. And I always love seeing how a baby shower is a celebration of both mom and baby. Each baby shower theme is a reflection of the new mom’s personality and the love that her community has for her.
My own baby shower was so meaningful to me because my mom had passed away from breast cancer a few years ago. Along with all the anxieties that come with pregnancy, I felt so lost not having my mom by my side as I stepped into motherhood. The out pouring of love from my friends helped encourage me as I entered this new phase of life.

Ashleigh Allman
Ashleigh graduated from Carson-Newman University in 2003 with a Bachelors in Political Science. In 2004 she received her Masters of Education from the University of Tennessee. She spent 10 years working as an elementary school teacher, before becoming a full time stay at home mom to 3 boys!
During her college years, she made extra money by working at a locally owned gift shop called “Made in Tennessee” and for an event planning business. Ashleigh’s main job at “Made in Tennessee” was to design gift baskets for local businesses. It was at this time that she developed a love for DIY crafts and helping create fun gift ideas for customers.
Her job at the event planning business included set up of party decor for events that ranged from business meetings to weddings.
These 2 jobs fueled her love for crafting, DIY, and party decorating!
Ashleigh has hosted 5 baby showers on her own and been part of the planning process for even more! She has a love of DIY projects, crafts, and creating printables!
